🌃 My little piece of the world

Here are some before, during, and after photos of the renos (painting from top to bottom, and new laminate flooring) and the move-in from the last few weeks. For some context, here’s a (far too long) post about my first home.

Before

During

  • Photo of recessed shelving ... without the shelves. The very first thing I did for renos. Light brown wall with light blue wall in recess.
  • Photo of above the fireplace after the mantlepiece has been removed and the shelves from both sides have been, too.
  • Photo of the area above the fireplace just after the first patching after removing the fireplace and knocking down the shelves. The ceiling has also had the first coat of off-white paint.
  • Photo during renovation from my dining area to my lounge with a double window in the background. The walls are now a light grey and the ceiling is very nearly white. The flooring is the same dark brown laminate.

After

I’m not quite finished yet. Still have lots of artwork to get up (including a commissioned piece I’m very excited about), lots of minor odds-and-sods that need to get evened out, and then phase 2 can begin.
